Warranty Information

Understanding your tire warranty coverage and how to make claims

Manufacturer Warranties

All tires purchased from The Tire Man include the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty coverage varies by brand and tire model. Below are the common types of warranties offered by tire manufacturers.

Treadwear Warranty

Covers the tire for a specific number of miles before the tread wears down to 2/32". If the tire wears out before the warranted mileage under normal driving conditions, you may be eligible for a prorated credit toward a new tire.

Typical Coverage: 40,000 to 90,000 miles depending on tire model

Workmanship and Materials Warranty

Protects against defects in materials and workmanship. If a tire fails due to a manufacturing defect, it will be replaced at no charge during the first 2/32" of wear, then on a prorated basis thereafter.

Typical Coverage: Life of original tread or 6 years from date of purchase

Road Hazard Warranty

Optional coverage that protects against damage from road hazards like nails, glass, and potholes. Available for purchase with new tires.

Typical Coverage: Varies by plan, typically 1-3 years

Uniformity Warranty

Covers ride disturbances caused by manufacturing irregularities within the first year or first 2/32" of tread wear, whichever comes first.

Typical Coverage: 1 year or first 2/32" of wear

What's NOT Covered

  • Damage from road hazards (unless Road Hazard Warranty is purchased)
  • Improper use, racing, or off-road use
  • Improper mounting or balancing
  • Continued use after tire damage
  • Lack of proper maintenance (rotation, alignment, inflation)
  • Cosmetic damage that doesn't affect performance
  • Damage from tire chains or studded tires (where applicable)
